What Makes the Body Mechanics Team… Us
At Body Mechanics Salon & Medi Spa, our story didn’t start with a fancy business plan or a pile of money. It started with a phone call… while I was at the lake… recovering from surgery… because of course it did.
A handful of us had worked together before, and we really wanted to work together again. When that call came — “We need a place… do you want to open a spa?” — something clicked. Suddenly the “dream team” was back together, even though at the time… we had absolutely nothing except a few clients, an empty space, and sheer delusional confidence.
We didn’t have rooms.
We didn’t have equipment.
We barely had walls.
But what we did have was trust — and a shared belief that we could build something safe, loving, and genuinely good. Honestly, most days I still joke that I’m not the real owner — Stephanie is. She bosses me around like she bought the building.
But together we worked, piece by piece, ordering supplies, setting up rooms, learning, growing… and then somehow hair joined the picture, and suddenly we were a full salon + medi spa with a team that just kept blossoming.
Education Became Our Love Language
We started taking courses, trainings, certifications — you name it. Why?
Because we want to offer our clients the absolute best.
We want to understand skin, hair, products, ingredients, tools, technology… and yes, sometimes we’re literally buzzing around the place showing each other new tricks like excited squirrels.
We love learning. We love growing. We love that feeling of, “OMG this is going to help our clients so much.”
We come back every week because of you. The laughs. The stories. The “guess what happened at work today” confessions. The little life updates.
Whether you’re here for hair or a facial, you’re part of the Body Mechanics family — because our staff talks to everyone.
Someone’s in the spa? The hair girls still say hi. Someone’s getting a color? The estheticians still chime in with, “OMG I love your sweater!”
We start to know your kids’ names, your pets’ personalities, your favorite drinks, your upcoming events, your eyebrows’ deepest secrets… we just become part of each other’s lives.
