We only ask for a credit card when two appointments are booked for the same date.

Laser hair removal targets unwanted hair for long-term reduction and smoother skin. To ensure safe and effective treatment:

  • The treatment area must be clean-shaven (no waxing or sugaring beforehand)
  • Avoid active tanning or recent sun exposure
  • Laser hair removal is not suitable during pregnancy
  • Do not apply lotions, oils, or deodorant before your appointment
  • Please disclose any medications or recent skin treatments during your consultation

Proper preparation helps ensure even colour and longer-lasting results:

  • Exfoliate and shave the day before your appointment
  • Avoid lotions, deodorant, and makeup on the day of your tan
  • Wear loose, dark clothing to your appointment

After-care timing:

  • Sunkissed Tan® – Shower after 12 hours
  • Express Sunless Tan® – Shower after 3 hours

To protect your skin and optimize results:

  • Avoid aggressive exfoliation, waxing, and products containing glycolic acids or retinol, unless part of an approved take-home regimen
  • These products should be avoided for a minimum of 2 weeks before and after treatment
  • Hydrafacial treatments may not be suitable during pregnancy in certain treatment areas — please disclose during your consultation

Potenza RF Microneedling – FAQs

To support optimal results and reduce irritation:

  • Stay well hydrated, drinking at least eight cups of water daily
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before treatment
  • For 3–7 days prior, avoid products or treatments that may cause redness or irritation, including retinols, isotretinoin, and exfoliating acids, as advised by your practitioner
  • Shave visible hair in the treatment area
  • Male clients should shave beards on the day of treatment
  • Follow the same preparation steps before each visit

After your Potenza RF Microneedling treatment:

  • Do not scrub, exfoliate, or pick at the treated area
  • Avoid liquid makeup for 24 hours; mineral makeup may be used once redness resolves
  • Refrain from high-intensity exercise, saunas, hot tubs, steam showers, or activities that raise body temperature for 24 hours
  • Avoid alcohol consumption, if possible, for at least 24 hours
  • Avoid sun exposure and apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily
  • Gently cleanse with warm water and a mild cleanser
  • Wash hands thoroughly before touching your face to avoid introducing bacteria
  • Apply a moisturizer frequently if skin feels tight or dry
  • If redness persists, apply an ice pack at home using a cloth barrier between skin and ice

Yes. Mild redness, swelling, tightness, or warmth is normal following treatment.
If you are prone to breakouts, you may notice temporary worsening due to inflammation or swelling.

Do not pick or scratch the skin, as this may lead to hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation.

Please contact your practitioner if you experience:

  • Persistent redness, rash, itching, or irritation lasting longer than 24 hours
  • Any symptoms that feel unusual, worsening, or concerning

Cancellation and Late Arrival Policy

At Body Mechanics, we value your time and the time of our service providers. To keep our schedule running smoothly and to continue offering the best experience for all clients, please review our updated cancellation and late arrival policies:

  • We appreciate 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. This allows us time to fill your appointment.
  • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for any cancellation or reschedule.
  • Appointments changed or cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be considered a no-show and charged the full service price.
  • No-shows will be charged the full service amount.
  • Clients who no-show more than once may be required to prepay for future bookings.
  • If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, your appointment may need to be shortened or rescheduled to avoid delaying the next client.
  • Full service charges still apply for shortened or missed time due to late arrival.
  • Reminder texts and/or emails are sent as a courtesy.
  • Clients are responsible for keeping track of their appointment times regardless of reminders.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your treatment.
